Evolution of Me

No this titles doesn't represent some in depth soul searching, life changing, evolution of how I came to be where I am today - it simply illustrates the following picture.

The actual evolution of me. :) Let's take a look back and illustrate some of these funnies shall we?

{Baby Britt} - I practically look the exact same now!
{Toddler} - Photos from this shoot were used for Kiddie Candids marketing. Gotta love the jean!
{Kindergarten} - If you look closely, you can see on my upper right cheek/eye there is a dark red scratch from my lovely sister from the day before. I was so sad that I had to get my pictures taken with a scratch on my face. :(
{1st Grade} - No words. Total cutie.
{2nd Grade} - Okay awkward smarty pants here! Also still diggin the jean shirt. And the buttoned collar. Nice work mom!
{3rd Grade} - Cheesin' it up! I had to get retakes this year because in my first picture I wasn't exactly smiling. You know how they always tell you to say a silly word like "BOYS!"? Well I said it. And they took the picture before I finished. Hence the super smile for the retakes. :)
{4th Grade} - Reppin' the Old Navy tech vest baby! I also wore my hair up because all my friends and boys I liked told me that I looked really pretty with my hair up in a cheerleader ponytail with curls. haha
{5th Grade} - I love my crimped hair, Harry Potter glasses, pooka shell necklace, and my favorite Union Bay shirt. :) Very content with myself at this age. haha
{6th Grade} - AWKWARD! haha Thank you puberty for making me feel and look so awkward.
{7th Grade} - Puberty continued. ha This picture is super funny though because after I got it taken everyone told me how beautiful it was and they loved my hair, shirt and necklace. Guess I was stylin' back then? One thing they forgot to tell me was how much they loved my eyebrows though.... ;)
{8th Grade} - Fixed the eyebrow situation. Thank you wax and tweezers. Grew out of puberty. Luckily. 8th grade was a solid pic.
{9th Grade} - One of my better school pictures minus the Satan horns (AKA poof balls on each side of my head).
{10th Grade} - Goodness gracious this picture makes me sad. I decided to get retakes because I thought I didn't like my first pic. Little did I know, I was going to get in a car accident during a rain storm the morning of retakes. Hence the awful hair and shiny sweat all over my face. I was a lil stressed. haha
{11th Grade} - I loved this picture! Too bad I ended up looking like two feet too far to the left. haha

And then I didn't have my senior picture on hand, but oh well. :) I pretty much look the same then as I do now.

Pretty fun huh? At least I think so! Go get your school pictures out! What are the funny memories you have of those days? I think it's amazing that I can remember so much about each and every year! Love the memories.

Until next time,
peace yo.

Resolutions Mini Album

In order for me to be successful with achieving my new year's resolutions I have to have some way of tracking my progress or else I always fail. Last year I made a small monthly checklist that hung on my bulletin board in my room. This small and simple piece of paper helped remind me each and every day to work on my resolutions and achieve those goals I set for myself.

This year I went a little more creative with my resolution checklist, but it seriously only took me 20 minutes tops.

I had a plain mini album I purchased from Roberts (HOO-RAH for them going out of business and having a 75% off sale, but SAD that we won't have them anymore :( ) and then I mod podged some paper on the front & back covers.

Next, I added a title page with a oh-so-handy black pen.

Now comes the month-by-month checklist to hold me accountable for each resolution. It is funny how such a simple blank box can motivate me to accomplish big things! haha

Easy peasy right? I'd say so! And I encourage everyone who has made new year resolutions to find some way of tracking them to hold yourself accountable! It works!
Once again, happy "resoluting"!

Monster Bookmark

 Okay here's the elementary school teacher coming out in me! Check out this ADORABLE bookmark that I made this weekend! It is super simple and way cute.

Here are the simple steps to making one for yourself!

1. Get an envelop and cut off one of the corners. This makes the "head" of your monster.
2. On a different colored paper, trace the triangle twice to create a square. Cut it out. This will be the rest of the head and mouth of your monster.
3. Cut out eyes and teeth and glue them onto the triangle.
4. Slide your triangle over the square to put the monster all together!

He/She makes the perfect bookmark! I want to call my monster a girl since it's pink, but are there really girly monsters?? Maybe nice girl monsters. :)

PS. After I posted this I realized that the page I had marked in my book for this picture was pretty gross...haha Sorry 'bout that errrbody! I'm reading that new Heaven Is For Real book about the little boy who describes his trip to heaven to his parents :) I'll let you know how it goes, but I've heard it's a good one!

Room Details & How To Sneaks...

Good morning! Today I got ready suuuuuuper fast for school...maybe because my hair is in a pony tail and I just tossed on my oh-so-cool Utah Jazz jacket. Nice. Anyways, I wanted to share a few details with "how-to's" (coming in later posts) of the decorations in my room so here we go!

I have moved apartments once again! That will be 3 different apartments in one year - HOORAH!! Although the actual carrying boxes part of moving is tiring, sweaty, and takes all day, I love switching areas and reorganizing everything :) Here's what my room likes like at my new place. Very similar to my old apartment, but I told myself that every time I moved I couldn't re-do my whole room (like I've done previously). So here we are with the same cute comforter and lots of pink!

How to #1: The IKEA "queen frame". Doesn't it look like I'm trying to say, "Hail all who sleep in this bed!" Yeah I think so. But besides that, I LOVE this frame!

How to #2: The one aqua pillow behind my super cute pink pillow (found at Target last fall). My friends and I made pillows last summer and it was surprisingly super easy! Details to come!

And that would be my awesomely large closet that for some reason doesn't fit all that I want it to. ATTENTION PEOPLE!! I have way to many clothes!!! But in all fairness to me, some of my stuff is from the 9th grade and I haven't really done much growing since I was 14. For some reason I haven't been able to part with some of my stuff. Sigh. Even though it gets worn like once a year.

How to #3: Frames! Frames! Frames! A nice "toot" to come because these are super cheap, easy to make, and adorable!

How to #4: My invented earring holder is ammmmmazing. Can anyone guess what that is supposed to be used for?? :)

How to #5: The wreath ♥ This was a last minute summer project that my friend Marlena told me about. We both made one. In grey.

Alrighty well that's all! And perfect timing because now I have to go to escuela! Have I mentioned that I am going to school full time, working 2 jobs, and running my awesome business? Yeah life gets kinda crazy. Which is why I blog at 7:00 a.m. when most college students are hitting the snooze button. :)

Peace.

{Shabby Chic Bracelets}

Braids are in.
Bracelets are in. Especially in the summer when they line your arms.
So how about we combine the two for my new {Shabby Chic Bracelets}! ♥

My favorite blogger {Elizabeth Kartchner} posted this "toot" on her blog yesterday so I wanted to try it out and I fell in l♥ve. Go check it out! If you have any scraps of fabric lying around, make a few of these bracelets to add some vintage flair to your wrist. Here's what I made!

Since I know that not all of you have random scraps of fabric lying around, I've decided to sell these "friendship bracelets"! You will receive two {shabby chic bracelets} perfectly packaged in the mail for only $2.00 + shipping.

{note: they call them friendship bracelets, but I think that these are super cute to be worn together instead of sharing ;) You are more than welcome to give one to your best buddy or keep both to adorn your wrist! Shhhh...i won't tell :)}

If you would like to buy a pair of these beauties you can contact me in the following ways:
{1}: purchase it on my etsy shop
{2}: email briellephotoanddesign@gmail.com
{3}: write on my facebook wall/message me

Be sure to tell me how many you would like to order! {remember you receive 2 per package} These bracelets would be a great, affordable, and very unique present to give to someone just because. Or maybe for a summer visiting teaching present? Or maybe for a friend's birthday? Or maybe just because you want one? Or maybe you don't need a reason, just buy one!

Lots of Friday night love,
Brielle ♥

{Banner no.2}

Remember this post about the banner I made for my friend's wedding? Well I've made another! This time the banner was for my little sister's 18th birthday! Simple, cute and now she can hang it in her room :)

And here's a picture of the birthday girl opening her special pearls from Dad! A few years ago my dad decided he wanted to do something special for his girls, so he bought us pearls to give to us on our 18th birthdays! :) I've worn mine to dances, graduation and other special occasions!

Love you dad!

"She..."

I was given an amazing book called "She..." for Christmas. It is a compilation of beautiful and inspirational thoughts along with eye-catching illustrations. I am obsessed. ♥
Obsessed to the point that I wanted to have a digital file of the book so I whipped out Photoshop and typed all 30 pages of inspiration! I thought I would share some of these beauties with you!

{if you would like a digital copy of any of these quotes, please email me and I'd be happy to spread the love!}

Don't you just love those?! I got the "She..." book from Gardner Village at a cute little store called Just Us Girls. If you haven't been there, you must! I can't walk out without finding some sort of little inspiration or decoration for my room. Lalalala love it!

On another note, I'm trying to decide if I want to turn this blog into not only a blog for my brielle accessories, but if I want to throw in tidbits of what my life is all about. My day to day activities. My struggles. My aspirations. My happiness. My goals. I think I will. Decision made. I won't share too much about my daily life, but I think blogging would be a good outlet to let my creativity flow. We'll see! Well I hope you all have a great weekend! I have been looking forward to this weekend since last week and I can't believe it's already here! Hooray! Lots of birthday celebrations happening at my house!

Until next time.

{115 Days of Summer}

This past summer I did a really fun photography project where I took one picture for each day of the summer. Once the summer was over I had 115 developed pictures sitting in Walgreens photo envelopes and I wanted to put them all together somehow. After seeing Elizabeth Kartchner's cute felt album I knew that was just the thing I wanted to do! So ta da! Here it is!

The album ended up being SUPER bulky from the huge stack of pictures I had so I am still not qutie sure how I'm going to attach it all together, but at least I made it this far and actually have the pictures in one central place :)

{Love Is Sweet}

My friend Samatha got married last week and I was able to make a banner for her reception. It hung in front of the dessert table and looked so cute with all her other decorations! This was a fun little project for me to be a part of and I definitely see me creating more banners in the future!
